In 1995, Kazi Sherpa, an enthusiast of mountaineering products saw the vast potential of starting a proper outdoor apparel store in Kathmandu. That time, he used to work in a small trekking shop. After pondering for some time, he quit his job and set up a small unit of his own with few workers. There was no looking back for him after that. The business boomed and his dream of establishing a decent apparel and business line became true. Sherpa Outdoor expanded its business to various other subsidiary companies and brands like KTM CTY, ANTA, Gaida Dhago and Sherpa-tex, our authentic fabric.
Among the many things that Sherpa Outdoor have done, it has had the privilege of serving the Nepalese Army and the Nepal Armed Police. For more than a decade now, Sherpa Outdoor have been providing the necessary clothing and equipment to both the Nepalese Army and Police of the highest quality. The products of Sherpa Outdoor have reached the alps of Switzerland and various corners of the world like Spain, Italy, Germany and also the United States. We feel really proud to serve one of the main line defenses of the country.
The Man Behind the Mission Mr. Kazi Sherpa
Born in the lap of the Himalayas, Kazi Sherpa always had a passion for doing something to promote the outdoor scene in Nepal. Luckily, an opportunity presented itself and he came to Kathmandu for his higher studies, that’s where he first started working at a trekking shop. As time went by, he saw the potential of the trekking shops in Kathmandu with a lot of tourists opting to purchase necessary equipment before heading out in the mountains. So, he set up a small workshop with few machinery and manpower to produce outdoor clothing and what started as a day-job for Kazi Sherpa grew into a full-fledged company that has now been working for the past two decades.
The products of Sherpa Outdoor have reached the alps of Switzerland and various corners of the world like Spain, Italy, Germany and also the United States. Sherpa Outdoor has also been manufacturing top quality clothing and equipment to the Nepal Army and Nepal Armed Police.

Our Factories
Automatic Quilting Machine is an international standard quilting machine only imported by Sherpa Outdoor in Nepal. It is used for hollow fiber stitching and is capable of quick and mass scale production.
Our Automatic Down Filling Machine is the only one of its kind in Nepal. It is a fully automated machine which uses special computer and software and is used to fill down feathers in the jackets after stitching.
