Fabrics & Materials
Fabric Rolls and Raw Materials are imported and unloaded at our factory. We import different variations of fabrics like Fleece Fabric, Sheep Fleece Fabric, Net Fabric, Knits Fabric/Hosiery Fabric, Taffeta Fabric, Gore Tex Fabric, Soft shell Fabric, Poly fiber etc. We also import various raw materials like zippers, buttons, threads etc needed for production.
The items are carefully examined either by the inventory controller or the logistics head of the company before storage. All the fabrics and items are stored in an organized system in our storage units.
Design & Sample Evaluation
For sampling and proper production, our designs are first digitized in CAD which is then printed out as a paper-based blueprint material, which will later be used for evaluation. Working with digital patterns allows us to make alterations and changes with surgical precision. A well-equipped machinery and state-of-the-art technology makes it possible for us to carry out the digitization of the various designs
The paper-based sample material is transformed to the desired fabric with all the precise measurements. Proper evaluation is done of the transformed fabric and sent to designated authorities for approval.
Cutting Department
During the cutting process, the designs and fabrics received from the roll house are layered on top of each other and the machine cuts it accurately. We use the international standard Automatic Cutting Machine, which is fully digital and machine operated.
We also use manual cutting equipments operated by our workers. We check the composition and thickness of the fabric to see if they can be cut together. We use the Laser Cutting Machine for fabric and logo cutting. Fabrics are categorized under different sizes. After all the bundles are ready, they get delivered for stitching.
Stitching Department
The fabrics coming in from the cutting department, are received by the production house with the required measurements and colors. The production house is categorized further into different departments according to the work being done.
In Special Stiching Department, products are both handmade by our workers and by our special stiching machines. The products are stiched and checked by our team of over 200 staffs.
Our Template Department has modern equipments like the Automatic Templating Machine used in special high quality stitching for hollow fiber jackets. The Logo Pressing Machine is used to for stamping the logo into the apparel.
We use the Hollow Fiber Stitching Machine to produces hollow fiber sheets used in the Automatic Quilting Machine.
Automatic Quilting Machine is an international standard quilting machine only imported by Sherpa Outdoor in Nepal. It is used for hollow fiber stitching and is capable of quick and mass scale production.
This magnificent machine uses threads woven in special way called the Bobbin Thread. We have a special machines called the Quilting Bobbin Thread Machine for this.
Our Automatic Down Filling Machine is the only one of its kind in Nepal. It is a fully automated machine which uses special computer and software and is used to fill down feathers in the jackets after stitching.
We also use embroidery for some of our brand logos and designs. For this, we have the Automatic Embroidery Machine which is used for fabric embroidery.
Packaging & Warehousing
Next, the apparels are properly checked by our staff, ironed in out ironing unit and packed in bundles ready for warehousing.
All the bundles that were made ready in the production house are then transferred to our warehouse for distributing to the various outlets. We use a fully computerized inventory system for data entry and record keeping.
